App Developers Challenge

Contest Overview

Contest begins on July 12, 2010, 12 pm PDT / 7 pm GMT.
Entry deadline is August 13, 2010, 5 pm PDT / 12 am GMT.

Who can enter:

1. Anyone 18 or older, worldwide
2. Individuals, teams or entities

Submission Requirements:

1. You can enter as many apps as you want by the challenge deadline of August 13, 2010, 5 p.m. PT.
2. All entry materials must be in English.

Judging:

Apps will be judged by BitTorrent Inc. on the following qualities:

1. Originality and innovation — new and creative applied uses of µTorrent and the bittorrent protocol
2. Quality of product, visual and user experience — application design that showcases great interaction and visual design
3. Product or service appeal — the appeal your application has to the overall µTorrent community
4. Technical expertise — how well the product functions based on its overall usage description

Prizes:

One (1) grand prize winner will receive prominent placement inside the µTorrent client, a $1000 gift certificate to Amazon.com and priceless µTorrent swag. Top three finalists will receive a winner's badge that can be included on their personal or professional website.

Notification of Finalists:

Top 3 finalists will be notified on September 20, 2010 by e-mail unless otherwise communicated.

Winner's List:

After the judging period ends, the names of the winners will be posted at µTorrent.com website.
